Book Review: To Sell is Human

We love reading books to keep our minds sharp and get new insights on the business world. The book To Sell is Human by Daniel H. Pink was one that we were very excited about. We had heard that it gave a new perspective on sales and it did just that!

The book starts off by telling the reader that everyone is in sales these days. Whether you like it or know it or not it’s true. You are always trying to sell someone on something even if it is something as simple as an idea that you send in an email.

We really enjoyed that it brought up the old stereotypes of sales and then explained what the new version is. I’m sure most of you have heard the ABC’s of sales (Always Be Closing). Well Pink puts a new twist and made up his own ABC’s of selling and we think they are definitely worth reading.

Another big portion of this book talks about ways to pitch yourself. This is a great quality to have and be prepared for because you never know when you’re going to need to know how to pitch yourself to someone.

Overall, we give this book 2 thumbs up and highly recommend it to really anyone! Especially people that are stuck in the old ways of sales or that are new to the area of sales.
